Chili Oil - Ginger

Born in the heart of the Columbia Gorge, Sao Noi quickly became a household name. Literally translating to “little girl” in Laotian, our founder, and mom, Marnie is the youngest of her eight siblings. Mom began making her chili oils from her little, cozy restaurant kitchen in Hood River. The exotic flavors in Sao Noi‘s chili oils reflect our Southeast Asian roots, evoking a nostalgia for our family’s traditional Lao and Thai culinary recipes. Today our chili oils—available in Original, Lemongrass, and Ginger—are still handcrafted in small batches in the Pacific Northwest to ensure that a whole ‘lotta love goes into every jar!

Perhaps our most popular, the ginger chili oil presents the palate with a bold and well-rounded flavor; we dare say, the sensation echoes that of a smooth bourbon as it radiates its warmth in the back of your throat. Oh yeah, we went there. While the ginger is pronounced, it does not overwhelm. Our ginger variety makes a fine partner for pho, dumplings, tacos, poke bowls, and more!
